What Is Diabetes ?

What Is Diabetes ?

Diabetes is a high amount of blood sugar in your system also called glucose. This can be from the way your body turns food into energy called insulin. When the insulin does not produce enough or not work as well, it leaves a high amount of sugar in your system that is supposed to be turned into energy.

Type 1 diabetes, stops the cells that create insulin.

Type 2 diabetes, lessens the body’s response to produce insulin.

Consequently, the body does not produce enough insulin to manage the glucose in the body.
